Unique UX which embraces the influencers brand
One of the outcomes of their research was that influencers found the brand of WOW too much. It overshadowed the influencer's brand. On top of that a lot of functionality was missing or not user-friendly. So together with the tech lead and the product lead I dived into the topic and created a front-facing UX which had style, but left a lot of space for the influencer brands. The backend was all about clarity and insights. Ed Bloom created materials for sales to personalize their sales deck with videos, resulting in large influencers joining the platform.
Not just a link in bio
The continuous interview process made that we were very aware how the platform was perceived by the influencers. Although the outcome was they did not care that much about the lifespan of their discounts, they did like the style of the UI. It was seen as a differentiator from the competition. It enabled WOW to onboard the influencers and make them experience the whole set of functionality. Speaking of design as competitive advantage.
